Celebrate the season with the Carquinez Model Railroad Society as we welcome you Home for the Holidays! Our annual open house invites families, friends, and train lovers to enjoy a warm, festive experience surrounded by the creativity and excitement of model railroading.
Explore our impressive 36' x 60' HO scale model railroad, built across three levels and filled with incredible craftsmanship. The layout follows the Southern Pacific and Union Pacific railroads from Oakland through the Bay Area, across beautiful Sierra scenery, and on to Sparks, Nevada. Walk alongside the trains as they travel through Oakland, Berkeley, Richmond, Crockett, Martinez, Fairfield, Davis, Sacramento, Colfax, and more—all brought to life with remarkable detail.
Visitors often tell us that the realism of the scenes is what makes our layout unforgettable. From finely crafted buildings and hand-made trees to intricate trackwork and lifelike train operations, every corner of the railroad is packed…
